Where are They Now? C2E2 Alumni Zafar Zafari tells his story

I joined the Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Evaluation (C2E2) in the second year of PhD in 2014 to work under supervision of Drs. Mohsen Sadatsafavi and Stirling Bryan. I enjoyed every moment of my productive time at C2E2 learning different public health techniques from the Center’s outstanding faculties, staffs, and graduate students. Not be forgotten my championship in the C2E2’s 2016 table tennis tournament, active physical activity including running and soccer was part of daily life routines at C2E2. I cannot insist more on the important role of C2E2 bonded with the endless support of my PhD advisors in my academic growth.
Since Dec 2016, I joined the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University, USA, as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist to conduct quantitative economic evaluation studies in evaluating the large impact social policies in public health. As of April 1st, 2018, I will start my new position as an Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. I will actively continue my collaboration with C2E2 in the future.
