About C2E2

The Centre for Clinical Epidemiology & Evaluation (C2E2) was founded in 1995. The Centre focuses on the methodology and conduct of health research studies.

Our Story

The Centre is one of the core research groups within the Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute, and has strong links with the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University. Dr. Charles Wright, then Vice-President of Medicine at Vancouver General Hospital, was the Centre’s first Director.

C2E2 is located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Skwxwú7mesh and səlilwətaɬ peoples. Vancouver Coastal Health lies on the traditional homelands of the fourteen First Nation communities of Heiltsuk, Kitasoo-Xai’xais, Lil’wat, Musqueam, N’Quatqua, Nuxalk, Samahquam, shíshálh, Skatin, Squamish, Tla’amin, Tsleil-Waututh, Wuikinuxv, and Xa’xtsa.

We encourage people to read the In Plain Sight report and visit the Truth and Reconciliation website.
