In March 2020, analytical resources within Medicine, Quality, and Safety and Decision Support quickly mobilized to develop an automated report of hospitalized COVID-19 patient in Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) that was disseminated daily.

This presentation will cover the following learning objectives: 

  1. Explore how the Learning Health System was integrated into COVID-19 reporting among hospitalized cases at Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)
  2. Describe the journey of developing an automated daily hospitalized COVID-19 report among hospitalized cases at VCH
  3. Discuss how this daily report and subsequent analyses impacted decision making at VCH and beyond
