Kira Dinim

Student librarian

Bio

Kira is a second year Masters of Library and Information Studies student at the University of British Columbia’s School of Information. She holds a Bachelors in English Language and Literature also from UBC, where she focused on the rhetoric of science, technology, and medicine and explored the connections between gender and language. In her Master’s degree, Kira is working towards becoming a health sciences librarian; she has a specific interest in the emerging role of AI in health science research, in health mis- and dis-information, and in supporting information access for patients through patient-centred care and service. At the Centre for Clinical Epidemiology and Evaluation, she is building an accessible information resource for liver transplant patients, as well as assisting with general research and workshop presentations in her role as student librarian.
