Bio

Dr. Kriszitna Vasarhelyi is the Senior Lead for Learning Health Systems at Vancouver Coastal Health and an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University. She leads embedded research and evaluation in the areas of community health services, public health, and Indigenous health, supporting the design of responsive programs and policies through collaborative modeling, operations research, and mixed-methods approaches. Her research and health authority work focus on advancing Learning Health System (LHS) methods and infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on participatory approaches, equity, and knowledge-to-practice translation. She also has a long-standing track record in mentoring the next generation of researchers through hands-on, practice-based training—developing a sought-after workforce that bridges applied research, evaluation, and system improvement.
